CHOOSE WISELY

We are given the opportunity to make choices in our everyday lives. However, the choices we make for ourselves can either make us or break us.

A choice as we know, is defined in the dictionary as ''an act of choosing between two or more possibilities''.

Ladies love fashion and so do men. We all do!

Its in our nature to look our best and have the best of everything.

consider this scenario; a size 10 individual will not choose a dress size bigger. Why?,

because she/he will not look good or presentable in a big size clothing no matter how gorgeous it looks and vice versa, A plus size individual will not choose a small size clothing because it will not be a good fit.

Most often we end up making choices that do not fit us in the right way or God's way.

''for I know the plans I have for you'', declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future''. - Jeremiah 29:11

God created mankind (you and I), mainly for us to have a relationship with Him and also for us to have dominion over everything He created in the world. Unfortunately,

sin entered into the world due to a choice made by one individual to eat the forbidden fruit which opened the eyes to know the difference between right and wrong, that is good and evil.

From the onset, mankind was given the keys of the world to rule over everything. We were put in charge of Gods glorious creation. However, due to that choice made based on what was pleasing to the eye at that moment of weakness, turned out to be the greatest harm ever to mankind. Sin entered the world and we lived in darkness until Jesus Christ, God the son shared His blood on the cross of Calvary to save us from the bondage of sin and shone His bright light in our dark world.

In a moment of weakness, man forgot all the other beautiful things God had placed before them (referring to the garden of Eden). It's sad to say the same applies to us today. We focus so much on the wrongs that we loose sight of the many good around us.

Today, God wants you to make the choice to believe what He says, that He has overcome the world.

Even though God overcame the world for you and I, we still have a part to play in the choices that we make.

Now what happens when we meet CROSS ROADS in our choices and do not know which path to take?

Apply the wisdom of God.

It's true that some choices can be hard to make and others due to life circumstances are out of our control. For instance, it was never my choice to be a widow at my age,

(I became a widow at the age of 25). I felt immense pain when I went through that season in my life. However, I had to make a choice not to wallow in my pain but rather hold on to the word of God which is His wisdom. By doing so I am able to advance in life and fulfill God's purpose for my life. Had I made the choice to settle and wallow in my pain, I do not think I will be writing this blog today encouraging others of the goodness of God and what He is capable of doing with the messes that we find ourselves.

The choices we make also affects those around us.

As a single mother, my daughter looks up to me.

If I am broken she is also broken.

If I am full of joy, she also experiences fullness of joy,

because she is affected by everything that I portray.

Similarly, when you portray positivity those around you are affected by it and likewise when you portray negativity those around you are affected. So make choices, but CHOOSE WISLEY, with the wisdom of God.

''get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them''

-Proverbs 4:5

from your sister in Christ,

Lady Magdalene.
